Third Edition of the PRESTIGE and Jeanneau Chinese Owners’ Rendez Vous

On January 16th, the third edition of the PRESTIGE and Jeanneau owners’ meeting took place in Sanya Serenity Marina, on the island of Hainan, in China. Hosted by the local distributor, Speedo Marine, over 250 people attended the event, with 18 Jeanneau and PRESTIGE’s yachts, making it the biggest shipowners’ meeting in China. Speedo Marine had planned an exciting day for its guests: a round of the east island regatta followed by a prize giving ceremony and a dinner party.

The fun started with the regatta where a good range of our models were represented: two Sun Fast 3200, two Sun Fast 3600, skippered by the Dongfeng race team sailors, five Jeanneau 57, two Sun Odyssey 50DS and two Sun Odyssey 509. The four Prestige yachts followed the race to enjoy the scenery.

The sailors’ excitement was at its top level regardless the very light wind. After three hours of race, the podium was taken by three Sun Fasts, clearly showing the range great ability for racing, even in light wind conditions!

Back to land, the prize ceremony and dinner party were hosted at the Serenity Marina Yacht Club. Great set up by the pool and breath taking entertainment, the prizes were given out to the winners in between dancing shows, concerts, raffles and of course, delicious dishes.

This owners meeting was also the opportunity to wrap up the first edition of the “Jeanneau China Sailing Tour”, with its last stop at Serenity Marina Yacht Club, official partner of the tour. The two Sun Fast 3600, which sailed down from Qingdao to Sanya, and the professional sailors of the Chinese Dongfeng team, Kong Chen Cheng, Liu Xue and Liu Ming, were here to join the fun and share their passion with our owners.
